ELFA and Moody’s Webinar: THE RISKS TO INVESTORS OF UNDISCLOSED REVERSE FACTORING FACILITIES.

We are excited to welcome William Coley, Associate Managing Director at Moody’s, for a discussion about reverse factoring arrangements. He will dissect these for us and describe the risks of this form of financing to investors.  Companies are not currently required to disclose reverse factoring facilities, even though these can exacerbate credit risk – especially when credit quality deteriorates.

We have attached two documents by way of background: An in-depth report by Moody’s, Reverse factoring is increasingly popular but can weaken liquidity at a time of stress, and a letter from Moody’s to the IFRS Interpretations Committee providing their observations on current practices in the classification and disclosure of liabilities and liquidity risks arising from supply chain financing arrangements, such as reverse factoring.

Please click RSVP to register / to ask any questions.
