The European Leveraged Finance Association (ELFA) and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) are hosting a virtual workshop for advisers to sub-investment grade corporate borrowers, including law firms, sell side banks, private equity sponsors, and others, to discuss disclosure relating to ESG topics with senior fund managers in bonds and loans.
The aim of the event is for company advisers and senior fund managers to discuss the procedural and practical implications of disclosing substantive ESG topics in offering materials and ongoing company reporting.
The workshop follows on our first event, which brought together subinvestment grade corporate borrowers and credit analysts to discuss sectorspecific, credit-relevant ESG information that investors would like to see disclosed. We intend to host another event in early 2021 for companies and credit analysts that will incorporate additional sectors.
The following companies participated in the first event: Arrow Global, eir, Encore Capital, Fedrigoni, Grupo MásMóvil, Intrum, HRA Pharma, Liberty Global, Sappi, Stada, TalkTalk, TDC, and Tele Columbus.
We are sending invitations to this event to advisers of these companies, plus other industry experts and market participants, in order to continue the conversation and gain insights from key stakeholders.
