Private Credit

Committee Objectives

The Private Credit Committee is a forum for direct lenders to engage on issues critical to their market to help shape the future of the asset class in Europe. The Committee will explore ways to support transparency in valuation matters and will look to provide guidance on valuation considerations, as well as how to streamline the direct lenders approach so that ESG matters become a core feature of the due diligence process.

ESG

ESG has become an important part of the investment analysis. The Committee aims to facilitate better engagement and ESG reporting for private debt funds. Our workshops, webinars and Insights reports serve as a starting point to guide companies to disclose and engage on ESG topics.

Democratisation of Private Debt

There are several regulatory initiatives underway in Europe. The European Long-Term Investment Fund (ELTIF) and the long-term asset fund makes investing in private debt more accessible to retail investors. The committee will aim to explore the impact this has on the market through a series of workshops and webinars with the hope of creating a best practice guide.
